VW Window Regulators

Window regulator in general is made up of spur gears, linkage and mechanical plate. These components have the same function but they work differently for a manual and power controlled regulator.

A spray lubricant can be used to clean the regulator before putting it back into the vehicle's door. In re-installing the mechanism, the window must be positioned where it should be before tightening the bolts or elseyou'll end up with a dislocated window.
