Mirrors, an automotive mirror that is, are the smooth, reflective surfaced parts
of the car. They usually and generally found on each side of the corner of the
front windshield and the front windows, and inside at the center above the front
windshield. The first one is referred to as the side mirror and the second one
is called as the rear view mirror. Other vehicles such as SUVs, vans and other
similar vehicles have a rear mirror attached outside and above the rear windshield.
Towing mirrors like the Volvo towing mirrors are also commonly seen on similar
vehicle and other larger large vehicles such as trucks. These towing mirrors are
found where the side mirrors are also found. Towing mirrors can be an add-on to
the side mirror, or a set to replace the existing side mirrors of an automobile.
Different mirrors serve different purpose but primarily, they are designed to
act as the driver’s rear eyes when on the road. Mirrors provide additional scope
of visibility for the driver to monitor the things happening around his vehicle
especially the what-they-call, blind spot. If a driver is able to monitor the
things around him without ever totally taking your focus on the road, then safety
is somewhat ensured for he can already anticipate the possible situations that
could arise in relation with other vehicles on the road, thus, preparing himself
to take the precautionary measures needed to prevent vehicular mishaps.
Automotive mirrors are indispensable automotive parts, and are essentially and
equally important as that of safety equipments like braking system, seatbelts,
air bags, bumpers, car lights and others. The rear view mirror is used to monitor
the vehicle subsequent to your car and sometime used for rear driving. On the
other hand, the side mirror is used to monitor the coming vehicle on either side,
and with the use of towing mirror being added to the existing side mirror or replacing
the existing side mirror, a driver is able to monitor the vehicle, wagon, carts
and others he is towing. Proper monitoring of the things happening around gives
sufficient awareness and guidance to the driver, resulting to safe driving.
