BMW Spoilers
Let your car groove with the cool and sporty style of BMW spoilers. You can surely drive in full throttle oozing with pride and confidence with
a new car spoiler installed either on the front or rear part of your car. Car
spoilers can enhance not just your car's external appearance but the driving mechanism
as well. A spoiler can provide your car with a tenacious grip on the road to achieve
ease in turning and cornering. You don't have to tamper with your car's weight
since spoilers are proven and tested to supply greater road grip.
BMW car spoilers serve as an aero add-on to the front, side and rear body sides
to enhance the aesthetics and aerodynamic features of the vehicle. Spoilers and
wings are often used interchangeably but they differ in purpose. A car spoiler
is an elevated section on the back decklids of coupes or sedans. For hatchbacks
it is situated on the upper corner of the rear gate. Aside from the sporty look
it gives, it also performs a vital role in the car's aerodynamics. Its name implies
its function. Car spoilers spoil the airflow that passes on the upper surface
of the vehicle to prevent swirling of air. Cars without spoilers can encounter
drag and lift. Drag can slower down the car while lift can reduce the road grip
especially during increased speed.

Wings are like airplane wings although it is mounted upside down since instead
of lift it produces greater downward force which pushes the vehicle onto the road.
Most cars have wings mounted on the elevated area to catch the undistracted flow
of air. It would be preferable to adjust the wings in a vertical angle to have
greater road grip and lesser drag. Drilling adjustment holes can help to easily
adjust the wings' angle. Car rear spoiler or wings must be bolted into the rear
trunk of the vehicle. Thus it needs to be drilled. In case you don’t want the
wings anymore you can just go to the nearest body welding shop to cover up the
holes.
Plastic, fiberglass, carbon fiber and aluminum are the commonly used materials
for wings. Aluminum wings may be too tall to face the airflow at the back of the
vehicle. It can be adjusted in various angles but it may cause imbalance on the
car's features especially if it is meant for ordinary street use. However for
racing applications, aluminum spoiler is a great add-on.
