their needs. Minivans have always been the perfect choice by parents who want
to fit in the whole family every now and then. Although vehicles smaller than
the minivans such as the station wagons and cars, can relatively fit a young family,
the roominess being offered by minivans is certainly unmatched. Aside form the
fact that minivans can hold up to three rows seating capacity, additional space
for cargoes and baggage is still provided. General Motor’s Pontiac also came up
with another own version of minivan naming it as the Pontiac Montana.
It was in the year 1999 when Pontiac launched its minivan model, the Montana
but before that, the said nameplate was already used as a trim level of the Pontiac
Trans Sport van from year 1997 up to 1998. The Pontiac Trans Sport together with
its siblings which were the Chevy Lumina APV and the Oldsmobile Silhouette, were
the minivan trio who had a debut in 1989 for the 1990 model year. These vans have
radical styling hat makes it an exciting vehicle to own. The present generation
of the Montana model was similar to the Buick GL8, the Chevy Venture, the Opel
Sintra and the surviving Oldsmobile Silhouette. Moreover, the Montana is among
the very few minivans that provide a seating capacity for eight persons.
Presently, the 2005 Pontiac Montana was updated to have a similar design with
that of a sport utility vehicle or SUV. It also feature a 3.5-liter High Value
3500 LX9, V6 engine that is capable of generating around 200 horsepower and 220
ft. lb. of torque. The 3500 LX9 engine is among the General Motors’ High Value
engine lineup that is based on its predecessor, the 3400 V6 engine. It incorporates
electronic throttle control and was used in different vehicle including the Pontiac
