The present generation of the Montana model was similar to the Buick GL8, the Chevy Venture, the Opel Sintra and the surviving Oldsmobile Silhouette. Presently, the 2005 Pontiac Montana was updated to have a similar design with that of a sport utility vehicle or SUV. It also feature a 3.5-liter High Value 3500 LX9, V6 engine that is capable of generating around 200 horsepower and 220 ft. lb. of torque. The 3500 LX9 engine is among the General Motors’ High Value engine lineup that is based on its predecessor, the 3400 V6 engine. It incorporates electronic throttle control and was used in different vehicle including the Pontiac Montana. So far, there is no indication yet as to the Pontiac coming to an end.
