Oldsmobile Parts
The Olds Motor Vehicle Company was founded in the year 1897. It had this mission:
to build one carriage in a perfect manner. Its so amazing that the manufacturer
of stationary gasoline engines, Ransom Eli Olds who teamed up with Frank Clark,
the son of a small carriage shop operator, have a achieved what so many believed
to be impossible. These two men successfully produced the self contained, gasoline-powered
carriage.

In 1901, the first assembly line was created in a small back corner of the Olds
Detroit plant. During this time, the “horseless carriage” was becoming more and
more popular as they came out in various magazine articles. The Olds built a second
factory in Lansing after a fire in the Detroit factory. They used the streamlined
process, which is the wheeled cart that moves from station to station in the assembly
line, significantly increasing the production level.

The Oldsmobile is the first to introduce the Hydra-Matic drive, which features
automatic transmission. The shifting was fully automatic and so the need for clutch
and associated footwork was eliminated. The Oldsmobile then introduced the Toronado
vehicle, the first modern-day front-wheel drive car. The people behind Oldsmobile
determined the front-wheel-drive as the wave of the future. They also launched
the 4-4-2s to be known as the Hurst/Olds, and then they also entered the minivan
market with the Silhouette and the SUV market with the Bravada.

To back up this line of vehicles, Oldsmobile makes sure that they are provided
with top-notch quality, durable and reliable
Oldsmobile parts. Their experience in their field has provided them with the necessary know-how
for making superior parts. The aftermarket realizes this dedication and also exerts
the same passion in providing tough and practical Oldsmobile parts for either
replacement or enhancements. A true joy to drive and to maintain, Oldsmobile vehicles
brings a smile to the face with every mile it drives.
