Toyota Mirrors
Rear-view mirrors have an interesting story about how they came into being. It
is said that a racecar driver named Ray Harroun used the first semblance of a
rear-view mirror in his Marmon racecar in 1911. Those were the days when rear-view
mirrors weren’t in existence yet, and racecar drivers were accompanied by mechanics
whose roles were to keep track of other vehicles during the race.
That particular day, all racecar drivers had their companions except for Ray
Harroun who, because of his misfortune, thought of putting a mirror on his car
for the purpose of being capable of seeing what was happening behind him. The
mirror made him aware of any cars overtaking him. It was also able to make him
aware of when and where to maneuver his vehicle without fear or hesitation. The
lucky guy won the race, an assurance that such device works. Although a different
person is given credit in inventing the automotive mirror, it was Harroun who
thought about using this intelligent idea first.
Almost everybody thinks that rear-view mirrors are specifically designed for
safety. They are right and are also wrong, because this isn’t initially so. The
preceding account manifests this. Nowadays, however, both rear-view mirrors and
side-view mirrors are used to be able to ensure safety and security in one’s driving
experience. Although it is still the driver’s judgment which would save him and
his passengers from mishap, it is the automotive mirror which he needs to depend
on to be able to exercise this particular judgment.
The Toyota mirror is one of the many kinds being sold in the market today. It
is designed specifically for each and every Toyota model in existence. Because
of this, customers are ensured that replacement mirrors would fit into their vehicle
accurately and perfectly. Standard mirrors that come with brand new Toyota models,
in turn, can only assure their owners that major accidents notwithstanding, they
would grow old with the Toyota models they are installed on.
Toyota mirrors can be trusted to be of service to its owner for the most number
of years. With proper care and maintenance, this would be realized. Toyota mirrors,
like the Toyota brand, can be trusted with each new design and each new model
to be as good as they get.
How would Ray Harroun react if he were to know that the ingenious little trick
he did in 1911 would be a standard on vehicles today? He would have laughed aloud,
because the achievement is like winning the race for the second time in his life.
