Mercury Parts
The Mercury Division or commonly known as the Mercury is the brand name of the
Ford Motor Company founded in the late 1930’s. Its primary target was to market
cars more upscale than Fords, but less expensive than Lincoln. And initially did
its task very well. Up to this day, Mercury models are merely based on Ford brand
flat forms. The Mercury brand was used in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, but with
the particular reason that its models are nearly Ford flatforms, dated 1999 Mercury
models were renamed as Fords in Mexico and Canada.

Mercury's range is quite small and very similar to those sold under the Ford
brand. Many industry observers have questioned whether Mercury will survive in
the long term, but Ford insist that there is no intention of letting the brand
die. Mercury brand cars may have suffer a certain identity crisis, which comparatively
happened also nearly to all luxury or semi-luxury brands, but Mercury did better
than some competitors.

Mercury may be lost its appeals to younger generations of car buyers, for they
say that cars that had appealed to one generation may lost its appeal as that
generation lost its peak buying years. It’s the grandeur appeal of the Mercury
cars to its owners that leads to loyalty. With dozens of vehicle brands to pick
from, customer loyalty is not an easy thing to win. But Lincoln-Mercury customers
have once again proven to be some of the most loyal in the industry. Lincoln-Mercury
won five R.L Polk & Co.’s consumer loyalty awards for the 2003 model year,
the most of any single upscale luxury brand. The winners were Mercury Sable for
Midsize Car; Mercury Grand Marquis for Large Car; Lincoln Town car for Luxury
Car; Mercury Mountaineer for Midsize Sport Utility Vehicle, Lincoln navigator
for Prestige Sport Utility Vehicle.

Still,
Mercury parts has its own identity when it comes to car industry. With the alliance coming
from its co-brand namely Lincoln, keeping the brand alive. Its one good reason
for Mercury car owners to reestablish and restore their Mercury cars by simply
replacing and restoring original Mercury parts, not only for the sake of loyalty,
but also for the cars own appeal.
