Kia Parts

Kia in Chinese characters can be roughly translated to “Rising from Asia.” Indeed,
this South Korean automobile manufacturer is now becoming one of the recognized
Asian car brands not just because of its quality but also of its undeniably top-notched
Kia parts. Kia started in the auto industry in 1944 and later, it also produced Mazda
cars, including Pride and Avella (marketed as the Ford

Festiva in North America and Australia). But it was only in 1993 when Kia began
to sell their cars in the United States, starting it off with the Sephia model.
Later its vehicle line up expanded to include the Sportage model.
Cars made by Kia were generally known for their cheaper price. Compared to popular
and best-selling domestic and European cars, they are perceived to be of lesser
quality. However, Kia constantly improves to give its best to its users. Among
its strategies to endure the auto industry’s tough competition is its ten-year
powertrain warranties. In 1998, Kia was acquired by the Hyundai Motor Company,
the largest South Korean car manufacturer and so far, the seventh largest car
manufacturer in the world. It was first established as the Hyundai Engineering
and Construction C. just three years after Kia was established but it began making
cars only in 1967, at that time the company name was changed to Hyundai.

One of the Kia vehicles marketed in the United States is the Kia Sportage. It
is one of the first to be called as the “cute-utes” primarily because of their
small size. It had its debut in 1995. Setting this vehicle apart from the rest
of small sized SUVs is the vehicle construction. Its body is made of traditional
body-on-frame boulder basher. The first Kia Sportage models were like trucks inside
and out. It sports a powerful and brawny body yet a not so powerful engine. Newer
models of the Sportage, which have unibody construction and four-wheel independent
suspension now drive like cars. Though priced relatively lower than other vehicles,
Kia doesn’t skimp on its vehicles. The new Sportage comes complete with safety
equipments and power-operated parts and other auto equipments not standard to
other vehicles.
