of engines are available for the regular length Yukon: the 4.8 L 285-hp at 5200
rpm and 295 feet pound of torque at 4000 rpm, 5.3 L 295-hp at 5200 rpm and 335
feet pound of torque at 4000 rpm, and the Vortex 5.3 L Flex-Fuel which is also
the standard engine of the XL ½ Ton. The upper three models have the standard
Vortec 6.0 L 335-hp at 5200 rpm and 335 feet pound of torque at 4000 rpm but the
powerful Vortex 8.1 325-hp at 5200 rpm and 447 feet pound of torque at 4000 rpm
is optional only for the XL ¾.

Yukon is showing sign of age compared to the competition but it doesn’t mean that

is set to launch next year with significant refinements.
