Ford’s van, the E-Series or the Econoline, was introduced in the year 1961; it was a full-size van related to Ford’s F-Series pickup trucks. From then until today, Ford’s Econoline vans were produced at Ford’s Lorain and Avon Lake plants in Ohio. When it was introduced, the E-Series was available as cargo van, 8-passenger full-size van and pickup truck. Every year, the E-Series was constantly refreshed to fit current market demands; and for 2003, Ford refreshed the E-Series by changing the grille style and incorporating an integral Ford logo.
