Dodge Ram Parts
The Dodge Ram was first introduced in 1981 as a replacement model to the D Series
but name could already be found on truck models way back in the 1930s and the
1940s.
The latest Dodge Ram is offered in different trims: 2-door regular cab, 4-door
crew-cab Quad Cab, and the new 4-door Mega Cab with 6.3 feet cab length. The Regular
cabs carry up to three passengers, Quad and Mega Cabs can house up to six. Engines
are in wide variety. The base is a 3.7-liter V6 while higher models have 4.7-
and 5.7-liters V8. Hemi V8 is branded as the strongest Ram engine. The Hemi features
Chrysler's Multi-Displacement System in all models except the Mega Cab. This feature
deactivates four cylinders under cruise conditions for fuel economy. The V6 and
4.7 V8 have the standard 6-speed manual transmission while the 4-speed automatic
for the V6 and the 5-speed for the V8 are optional.

Today, Dodge claims that the ram is the most powerful, strongest, fastest, and
most capable full-size truck in production. And there is no question about that.
The proof: when the Ram is equipped with 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine in a five-speed
automatic transmission, this monster of the road produced 345-horsepower at 5400
rpm and 375 foot pound at 4200 rpm of torque. Not only that, the engine has advance
features to include the two-valve hemispherical combustion chambers, aluminum
heads, electronic throttle control, and dual spark plugs per cylinder. Equating
it to simple terms, the Dodge Ram can haul almost anything you can attach behind
it. Another pride of the Dodge Ram particularly the Ram SRT10 Regular Cab is the
8.3-liter V10 Viper engine that produces 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque.
History would suggest that Dodge has been one of the best truck manufacturers
that have survived for decades. Continuing this legacy, Dodge has made durable
trucks with extreme capabilities. And with power that goes to distance, Dodge
should be equipped with durable parts that could handle every Dodge destination,
whether on pave ways or on off-road. Parts are widely available to keep the Dodge
Ram performing to its maximum capacity.
