The cargo liner does for the cargo area what the floor liner does for the carpet and the bed liner for the pickup truck bed. Its main function, therefore, is to protect the cargo area from various staining and damaging elements that the cargos may bring.

There are many different types of cargo liner available in the industry today and they may be made from a variety of materials, although polyethylene seems to be the material commonly used by cargo liner manufacturers.
